If you have ever watched a giant, gypsy-squid decked out for the West Indian Day Parade flail its throbbing, costumed tentacles in its death throes, brought on by eating too many LSD laced crawfish, then you have a rough idea of what a performance by Brooklyn's Golden Triangle is like. Golden Triangle sounds like a heavy garage band fronted by the mad witches from Macbeth were doused with the B-52s. Vocals weave in and out of the simultaneously sparse and heavy sounds created by the guitars while the bass and drums remind us that we are still anchored firmly in a frenetic earthly plane.- by Little Milton Hex Ed
Golden Triangle are a raucous, female-fronted Brooklyn garage-punk act with a bratty attitude and stylish costumes that resemble some kind of performance art cabaret band. Their hypnotic drumming, vocal chants and lofi guitars are just notes from chaos but always exactly where they need to be.
